Please join PSA 105 residents at the 6th Annual Fun Dog Show on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Marion Park, across the street from the 1st District Substation at 500 E Street, S.E.

Dog owners: You don't have to be a PSA 105 resident to enter your dog! When you get to the show, you can sign your dog up for categories including: smallest dog, best costume, best trick, etc. This is a fun community event where canine talent and beauty are not requirements to win a prize!

Daisy and I had a chance to visit the Shaw dog park twice in the past 2 weeks. It is located on 11th Street NW just north of where 11th, Q, and Rhode Island all converge. It abuts the sidewalk and some non-zoned parking spots. The park is bound by a church, a school, and an athletic field (sound familiar???).

There is an "under 25 pounds" area in addition to the general space. Daisy had a great time at each visit. There's a poop can, a bag dispenser, water, and what appears to be a locked tool/supply box. I took a few pictures that I posted in the gallery.
